PIONEER’S NEW ‘HTP-076 HOME THEATER PACKAGE’ PROVIDES AFFORDABLE, ACCESSIBLE SOLUTION FOR COMPLETE HOME THEATER SET-UP

April 10, 2019

Providing consumers with all the components needed to set-up an advanced home theater system, Pioneer & Onkyo USA Corporation today announced the HTP-076 Home Theater Package (MSRP $499.00).  At the heart of the system is the Pioneer VSX-326 5-channel AV receiver with 80 W/ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.08 % THD, 2ch Driven FTC), a digital quad-core 32-bit DSP and a host of advanced capabilities found in more expensive receivers.

“Setting up a home theater can be a confusing and intimidating process with many consumers not knowing where to start,” said Don Milks, Director of Marketing & Product Localization for Onkyo & Pioneer USA. “Our complete home theater package is an ideal, all-in-one starting point for folks who want to enjoy a tremendous home theater experience without breaking the bank.”

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Support

In support of Dolby Atmos, the HTP-076 is compatible with a 3.1.2-channel set-up to create a convincing 3D sound-field without having to install speakers in the ceiling. DTS:X allows for the flexible placement of speakers to enable optimized playback in a variety of layouts. Owners without Dolby Atmos speakers can still enjoy many of the benefits of object-based audio, thanks to two break-through surround technologies: Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer*1 and DTS Virtual:X® that simulate the output from ‘virtual’ height and surround speakers if they are not physically present in a room.  The result is seamless, lifelike Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound quality in any room.

DTS Neural:X and Dolby Surround technologies also up-mix legacy “2D” soundtrack formats to simulate a surround-sound experience with a more seamless “wraparound” feeling. Both receivers are designed to create immersive 3D sound for movie soundtracks encoded on DVD, Blu-ray Disc™ or compatible video streaming services.

Ready for Next Generation Video

The HTP-076 supports pass-through for HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma), and Dolby Vision signals.  By connecting a compatible source device, you can enjoy these latest video standards on a compatible display. What’s more, all HDMI terminals support 4K (60p/4:4:4/24-bit), Wide Color Gamut (BT.2020), and HDCP 2.2, so owners can enjoy premium content such as 4K videos with digital copy protection.

Automated Speaker Set-Up

When using Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers, high directivity sound from the unit reflects off the ceiling, while low directivity sound directly reaches the ears. The different pathways cause a phase shift, making the sound feel uncomfortable. The Reflex Optimizer which uses the Phase Control technology adjusts this shift, and improves the localization of the sound image by aligning the frequencies with those of the floor speakers, creating the ideal reproduction environment.

Synchronized Sound with Phase Control

As an innovative solution for the phase lag between the subwoofer and the main channel speakers caused by the bass management filter, Phase Control compensates the delayed bass to improve sound synchronization.

Zone B Output for Wireless Headphones

The HTP-076 is equipped with Zone B audio output terminals for expanding the Main Zone sound by connecting your wireless headphone dock.  You can listen to the sound playing in the living room via wireless headphones.

Dialogue Enhancement

Thanks to a unique mid-range sound adjustment feature called “Dialogue Enhancement”, the HTP-076 can independently adjust the volume of predominantly mid-range sounds, such as the dialogue in films via the up/down key on the remote control.
