Metabyte, Inc. today announced the first demonstration of MbTV(TM) on Windows CE platform at the International 2000 CES Show, January 6-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Under development for three years, MbTV is a personal TV agent that puts ""your thumbprint on TV""(TM). MbTV-Win CE is an implementation of Metabyte's suite of personalized television software running in a Windows CE environment. Metabyte's exhibit will be located in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth no. M7216 and M7218.The MbTV technology is unique. MbTV automatically learns its viewers' television watching tastes without any user intervention and creates personalized profiles that can be used to provide a variety of services. It can automatically recommend, record and delete desirable programs based on viewers' television watching tastes on a one way broadcast stream. The artificial intelligence built into MbTV automatically identifies multiple viewers in a household without requiring them to log in. MbTV does not manage a viewer's privacy, but protects their privacy 100%, as it does not require any data to be transmitted from the viewer's home.About MbTV NetworksMbTV Networks, a division of Metabyte, Inc., develops the MbTVô suite of products and services for personal television, ranging from digital VCRs to targeted advertising, personalized TV portals and personalized data broadcasting.
