VSDA President Resigns

Jeffrey P. Evesí voluntary resignation as President and CEO of the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA), for which he has managed the past five years, will become effective on April 4, 1999. His resignation was prompted by criticism that he was not doing enough to protect the interests of independent video stores. For several months prior, a petition circulated by a regional video retailers group had been calling for his resignation. A VSDA press release stated that Evesí resignation was submitted for personal reasons and was principally related to his desire to pursue other career opportunities. A search for his replacement is underway.
