The exciting new Infinity products that make their debut at the recent Consumer Electronics Show include the following: Infinity HPS-1000 The new Infinity HPS-1000 High-Power Subwoofer is the flagship of the HPS Series. The low-frequency reproducer utilizes Infinityís proprietary B-Linkô amplifier technology operating in conjunction with a 15-inch long-throw woofer and dual side-firing passive radiators to deliver an incredible 1000-watt power output. Also debuting is the HPS-500 (500 watts, 15-inch woofer, SRP: $999) and Infinityís new high-power, high-value BU-150 Subwoofer, featuring a 15-inch woofer and 200-watt digital amplifier (SRP: $549). Infinity FPS-1000 Flat-Panel Loudspeaker The Infinity FPS-1000 Flat-Panel Speaker is, the company says, the first true high-performance on-wall loudspeaker, providing audiophile-quality sound from an enclosure less than 1/2-inches deep. The FPS-1000 utilizes newly designed, ultrathin drivers and a rotatable tweeter that allows the user to optimize high-frequency directionality for any listening position. The FPS-1000 mounts unobtrusively on a wall, for easy installation and unmatched placement flexibility, and its aluminum enclosure and metal grille can be painted to blend into any decor. (SRP: $599/pair) Infinity HPS-1.5 Loudspeaker The Infinity HPS-1.5 Special-Purpose Satellite incorporates a l-inch, high output, soft-dome tweeter and co-injected polymer woofer. Premium-grade parts and construction are utilized throughout, including a specially tuned crossover network and acoustically transparent metal. The HPS-1.5 is designed to mate perfectly with infinityís HPS Series subwoofers in appearance and performance. (SRP: $350/pair) Infinity Reference Series RS-10 Loudspeaker The Infinity Reference Series RS-10 Loudspeaker is a shielded, full-range slim-tower design. The RS-10 features an integrated 150-watt powered amplifier utilizing a 10-inch, side-firing, long-throw woofer, a one-inch, neodymium-magnet, silk-dome tweeter augmented by an elliptical wave guide for smooth response and dual 5'/4-inch, co-injected polypropylene midrange drivers.
