Available via a free over-the-air update to the SVS Subwoofer Control App, SVS Auto EQ automatically optimizes in-room subwoofer performance using a smartphone microphone or optional external microphone (sold separately) along with proprietary SVS equalization firmware.
SVS Auto EQ addresses the single biggest obstacle to achieving reference subwoofer performance: room acoustics. In just a few guided steps, the feature analyzes in-room frequency response, applies precision equalization, intelligently manages room gain, and shapes subwoofer output at multiple listening positions. The result is cleaner, tighter, more accurate, and evenly distributed bass throughout the listening area.

SVS Auto EQ enhances performance in both 2-channel music and home theater systems by correcting common acoustic issues, such as peaks, nulls, and uneven bass response, caused by room anomalies and subwoofer placement.

Designed for ease of use, SVS Auto EQ requires no specialized knowledge or manual tuning. Users follow step-by-step instructions in the SVS Subwoofer Control Smartphone App to guide them through a series of measurements and complete calibration in minutes. Before-and-after results of the calibration are also shown in the app. For greater measurement accuracy, SVS offers an optional external SVS Auto EQ Mic for $45.

SVS Auto EQ is made possible by a 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP, the most powerful and sophisticated processor ever deployed in a home subwoofer. In addition to new calibration features, the DSP allows SVS R|Evolution subwoofers to take control of a room with effortless authority, while expanding tuning and control functions, managing thermal performance, and controlling the flow of current to the motor with absolute precision.
