RGB Spectrum and Panja announces the compatibility of RGB Spectrumís DTQís Video scaler with Panjaís PHAST Home Automation Products. This partnership is supported through the Panja Partner Program (P3), which extends throughout the electronics industry to increase product compatibility for home control.RGB Spectrumís DTQ will take a video input and double, triple, or quadruple the number of lines for much high quality rendition when outputting to any display, including CRT, projection, and plasma. Developed to improve the quality of video display by de-interlacing the video and interpolating lines, the DTQ produces an image without visible line structure.Through the use of single control panel, wall-mounted or wireless, Panjaís PHAST Landmark System allows users to completely automate their home and integrate their system. Panja customers are able to control a limitless number of appliances and devices; HVAC, security, audio and video systems, home entertainment systems, lighting, sprinklers, drapes and more. The DTQ and the Landmark system interface in such a way that messages from Panjaís intelligent controller can be displayed by the DTQ on the screen of the television set. For example, by connecting the caller ID system from the telephone, the name or number of caller can be displayed on the television screen, allowing the customer to decide whether or not to stop watching television and take a phone call. Or if the home security system is integrated, the customer can see onscreen when a door or window is open elsewhere in the house. The messaging system can also provide status reports on such matters as the temperature of the hot tub.The DTQ will accept composite NTSC, S-Video or component video from a video from a video tape, laser disc, DVD, direct broadcast or satellite source. The user controls how the signal is presented to the projector, with output resolutions of 525 lines (doubler), 787 lines (tripler), or 1050 lines (quadrupler). Video processing includes controls for contrast, brightness, color and sharpness. The DTQ offers state-of-the-art decoding, adaptive comb filters and de-interlacing. And unlike some competing products, there is no edge breakup in scenes with horizontal motion. The DTQ comes with an infrared remote control and easy to follow on-screen menus, as well as an LCD front panel display, and even and RS-232 port. The DTQís intuitive controls, simple set up and installation are designed for easy integration into any video display system.About PanjaPanja is a new kind of Internet company, linking home and business appliances seamlessly and meaningfully to Internet content and services.
