LG Introduces HD-DVD Player Along With Pioneer At CES 2000

As previously reported, at CES 2000 Pioneer was showing off a prototype HD-DVD video player. As it turns out, LG Electronics was also displaying a high-definition optical disc prototype. The two players are based on different formats, setting HD-DVD up for a format war.
