Rated at 200-watts per channel into 8-ohms and 375-watts into 4-ohms, the 7250/7260 amplifiers were designed to handle the demands of todayís dynamic movies and surround sound music.The Reference 7250/7260 utilizes high quality electronic circuitry to achieve an environment wherein a detailed, transparent, and highly musical sound can be realized. Manufactured in the USA, the 7250/7260s high quality parts complement includes state-of-the-art solid state devices. Since the introduction of Dolby Digital Surround EX many people have found themselves at a loss when it comes to amplifying that extra channel. B & K solves this problem with the 7260 which is designed for the required six channels of amplification.The Reference 7250/7260 amplifiers were built to the hilt using large, high capacity Torodial transformers, 1% metal film resistors, and high current compute grade electrolytic power supply capacitors. Operating on class A predriver and AB high current MOSFET power output stages the 7250 and 7260 reproduce the most demanding audio signals at rated power levels without distorting. In order for the amplifiers to reproduce source material with three dimensionality and accuracy, B & K uses discrete circuitry in both amplifiers.The 7250 and 7260 come with such convenience features as heavy-duty five-way binding posts, channel level controls, easily accessible fuses and an amplifier control muting input/output. The control muting input/output lets you easily turn on the 7250/7260 remotely and ""daisy chain"" it to other amplifiers.The 7250 and 7260 retail for $2,498.00 and $2,798.00 respectively and are shipping as of November 1, 1999.
