HDTV-2000R Receiver Box Allows HDTV Reception On Analog Television
SatCom Electronicsô, Inc. of Poway, California, introduced their HDTVisionô receiver box, the HDTV-2000R, at the 2000 Consumer Electronics Show. The HDTV-200R allows for reception of HDTV programming on analog television monitors. SatCom Electronicsí HDTV-2000R, in operation with either SatCom Electronicsí HDTVision antennas or any digital off-air antenna, enables viewers to receiver local digital television and high definition television broadcasts on any analog television monitor. The HDTV-200R is compliant with ATSC (Advanced Television System Committee) specifications of terrestrial DTV broadcast and provides an excellent and versatile user interface. ""Our HDTVision receiver box is an effective and affordable solution for those who wish to view HDTV broadcast without purchasing a HDTV monitor,"" said Dr. H.H. ""With HDTVision, viewers can enjoy 2-D, true color graphics of HDTV and local digital broadcasts on their existing analog screen without having to compromise quality."" The HDTV-2000R supports all 18 ATSC video formats (from SDV to HDTV) and Dolby Digital 5.1 decode with down-mix modes of one, two, three and four channels, MPEG-2 multi-channel decode, or ProLogic decode. Other features of the HDTV-2000R include smart card interface and NRSS interface for Conditional Access, SSC and UART for two-way applications, EPG (Electronic Programs Guide) and PSIP (Program Specific Information Protocol) on-screen display, and two ISO7816 smart card sockets.
