A year and a half ago, on June 23, 1998, anxious fans received their first video glimpse behind the scenes of the film known then only as ""Star Wars: Episode I ñ The Phantom Menace."" That glimpse came in the form of the first of a series of on-line Web documentaries designed to ""show each stage of the process from George writing the story to ILM adding the last details before the movie is released next May"". The first installment, titled ""All I Need Is An Idea"", visited George Lucas in his office on his first day of writing the script for Episode I. It also introduced the world to Lynne Hale, long-time employee and Director of Communications at Lucasfilm, who introduced the series and each video segment. Starwars.com and Apple Computer are pleased to once again make these Making of Episode I videos available for online viewing to registered users in the QuickTime 4 format. Lynnes video introduction and the first segment ""All I Need Is An Idea"" are available now, with the remaining chapters coming soon. As George Lucas is currently completing the script to Episode II, click Starwars.com to relive what it was like before characters like Sebulba and Qui-Gon Jinn were anything more than imagination.
