Stereophile's Home Entertainment 2000 Show Canceled

Citing too-small rooms and a suburban location as impediments to a successful show, EmapUSA has decided to cancel the Home Entertainment 2000 Show scheduled to be held in Rye, New York in May of this year. Home Entertainment 2000 was the new name given to the annual Stereophile Hi-Fi Show, which was last held in May of 1999 at Chicago's Palmer House Hilton.However, EmapUSA's Hi-Tech Division, which oversees Stereophile, Stereophile Guide to Home Theater, Home Theater magazine and the Home Entertainment Show, plans to be arranging shows again in the year 2001. They are currently looking into venues in Manhattan, New York for Spring 2001 and Los Angeles, California for Fall 2001.
