Gramm To Unveil Satellite TV Bill

Senate Banking Committee chairman Phil Gramm, R-Texas, will join Senator Conrad Burns, R- Montana, as a co-sponsor of legislation that will provide federal loan guarantees to ensure that local television service is available to satellite TV subscribers living in rural areas. The introduction of the legislation follows two Banking Committee hearings on rural television service and loan guarantees.
