Mixed Signals Technologies (MST), a merger between ULTECH Corp. and Mixed Signals Inc., has set NAB 2000 for the worldwide introduction of its latest ATVEF (Advanced Television Enhancement Forum)-compliant technology in Interactive TV (ITV) hardware, it was announced by Alex Thompson, president and CEO. MST's ITV DataFloô System is an integrated ITV production suite designed for use by broadcasters, post-production studios, television producers, government agencies and ITV Web site developers. The system provides a complete set of ITV production tools, which let operators combine interactive content with any video source, live or recorded. With powerful, user-friendly, ATVEF-compliant ITV production software, the ITV DataFlo System makes it easy to add ITV links and triggers, closed captions and other data services to any type of video program. The system accepts longitudinal time code and synchronizes video and ITV programming without timing mistakes. The VBIsentry Universal VBI Monitor/Logger is designed to monitor VBI data, including ""V-chip"" and teletext, ATVEF data for both transports ""A"" and ""B,"" and closed caption data, while offering quality control of all VBI data services. Product features include two independent video source inputs, report capability, log filtering, remote control API running under Windows NT Embeddedô and the ability to run ""headless"" (without keyboard or monitor). The Data Bridge can be configured to decode other forms of packaged data in varying formats and can transmit data out of an RS-232 serial port in addition to the network interface. Other features include the ability to transmit decoded data to an MPEG encoder via TCP/IP, comprehensive data screens, and data logging. The software runs under Microsoft NTô.
