About FD Trinitron WEGA TVs The FD Trinitron technology is not only suited to the standard 4:3 aspect ratio of todayís analog TVs, but it is also ideal for displaying 16:9 wide-screen televisions. The FD Trinitron WEGA line incorporates Sonyís proprietary FD Trinitron picture tube, which creates a vertically and horizontally flat screen. The FD Trinitron tube is flat - both horizontally and vertically - for minimal glare and virtually no distortion. The super-fine aperture grille produces strong detail and high resolution. A larger deflection yoke and longer electron gun found in original Trinitron technology are incorporated for precise corner-to-corner focus and better data and text reproduction. To further enhance the high-resolution picture quality produced by the FD Trinitron tube, new enhancements such as Digital Reality Creation Multifunction and Multi Image Driver-X have been added.
