DCA And Interraís Surveyor Bundle Available
DCA and Interra Digital Video Technologies revealed at REPLItech Europe the formation of a strategic partnership between the two companies. The partnership agreement, which encompasses cooperative marketing and product co-development, has been formed to deliver the most comprehensive verification solutions in the DVD mastering and replication industry. At REPLItech, DCA is introducing the first product resulting from the agreement - the availability of Interra's Surveyor as an option for DCA's verification products: DVS+ and SVS+. The addition of the Interra capability extends the DCA verification product line by giving users the ability to detect the presence of potentially serious DVD-Video format and application errors in the content layer. The product bundle will be available in March 2000. Moreover, DCA representatives state that users can expect a round of enhancements early summer 2000 that will result in tighter integration between the DCA and Interra software. ""DVD replicators need complete verification solutions and the Interra software is a natural addition to our DVD verification product line,"" said Brad Rickelman, Manager of Marketing Communications at DCA. ""We formed the agreement with Interra because our respective technologies are highly complimentary and we share a common goal. Going forward we expect this partnership to produce DVD verification solutions unparalleled in functionality and elegance."" ""Although DVD replication facilities have been strong supporters of the Surveyor software since its introduction, they have repeatedly encouraged us to marry our software with physical layer disc verification systems,"" stated Paul Collins, Interra's Director of Marketing. In addition, Collins claims that the relationship is expected to yield more advanced solutions in the near future. DCA will offer the Surveyor software to its customers as the ""Interra Option."" This option will be available for new and existing users of DCA's DVS+ and SVS+ product lines.
