Image Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: DISK), a leading licensee and distributor of DVD programming in North America, announced the hire of W. George Easton for the newly created position of Director of Distribution and Fulfillment and the Vice Presidential promotions of Garrett M. Lee, Mary Schepis-Johnson and Sylvie Yang. W. George Easton, a 30-year veteran of the distribution business, with 25 of those years spent in supervisory and managerial positions, will assume the role of Director of Distribution and Fulfillment for Image's Las Vegas, Nevada Distribution Facility. Easton comes to Image from Houston, Texas-based ThoughtFarm Soft Technologies, Inc. where he served as Director of Commerce Services, responsible for all aspects of distribution and fulfillment. Prior to ThoughtFarm, Easton held positions at The Grand Alliance, Direct Resources, Inc. and Compaq Computer Corporation. In his new position, Easton will oversee all operational aspects of Image's North American distribution center, including the Company's core wholesale distribution business, consumer fulfillment for DVDPlanet, the Company's e-commerce subsidiary as well as planned third-party fulfillment opportunities. Prior to Image, Lee worked for General Cinema Corporation. Mary Schepis-Johnson has been promoted to Vice President of Creative Services. A twelve-year veteran of Image, Schepis-Johnson previously held the post of Executive Director of Creative Services. Before coming to Image, Schepis-Johnson worked for Family Home Entertainment. Sylvie Yang's promotion to Vice President, Controller comes following an eight-year stint as Controller for the Company. Prior to Image, Yang worked for five years as a CPA for KPMG Peat Marwick in their Los Angeles, California office.
