Russound, a leading manufacturer of audio products for residential and commercial custom installation, has introduced a sophisticated new two-channel amplifier delivering high performance and features that make it a natural for many installations from the most basic, the most exotic. Designated DPA-1.2, the new model is an ultra-compact design that can fit - or be hidden - nearly anywhere. It measures 6 (W) x 10 (D) x 3 1/2 (H) inches and features large heat sinks to assure cool running operation, the amp has a built-in base plate to accommodate horizontal or vertical installation. The new amp provides 35 watts per channel continuous into 8 ohm speakers - 50 watts to 4 ohm speakers. In addition, the DPA-1.2's output can be bridged to provide 100 watts into 8 ohms for single-channel zone operation or to power a subwoofer. Compatible with Russound's new A-BUS system, the DPA-1.2 would typically be used in large rooms, outdoors, or in other applications requiring more power than the A-BUS's amplified keypad provides. Other features include high and low level inputs, so that the amp can be used in remote locations without complicated wiring; audio, video, and +12V sensing for automatic turn on/off; 12 volt trigger output to activate other associated equipment, such as screens or lights; and adjustable turn on/off delay to eliminate pops and cracks as the system powers up or down. Russound's DPA-1.2 two-channel amplifier has a suggested retail price of $329. For more information about this and other Russound products, visit the Russound Web site at http://www.russound.com.
