Faroudja To Pursue Patent Case Against DWIN Suit Continues On Second Patent - Summary Judgement To Be Appealed

Faroudja, Inc. (NASDAQ; FDJA) has announced that it would continue to aggressively pursue its patent infringement suit filed against DWIN Electronics, Inc. in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, Civil Action No. C-97 20010 SW (PVT). On February 24, 1999 the Court granted DWINís summary judgment motion on the basis of non-infringement with respect to U.S. Patent Number 4,876,596, one of the two patents Faroudja asserted against DWIN. (See Todayís News, March 5, 1999.) ""We are surprised and disappointed by the ruling, but the case is far from over. We will continue to prosecute the second patent in this case vigorously and appeal the Courtís summary judgment ruling at the appropriate time,"" stated Kenneth S.
