TributariesÆ Introduces New C2S Plus Powered Composite To S-Video Converter

TributariesÆ, an innovator in the development and manufacture of high-quality audio/video accessories, has introduced the new C2S Plus Powered Composite to S-Video Converter. The Tributaries C2S Plus converts composite video to S-Video, says the company, using an active circuit and state-of-the-art comb filters for separating the Y (luminance) and C (chroma) information which defines the Y/C S-Video signal. After comb filtration, both signals are passed through special six dB amplifiers providing maximum dynamic range and stable load impedance at 75 ohms. A convenient front-panel control knob on the C2S Plus sets picture resolution. Tributaries exclusive ""Top Down Detail Control Circuitry"" is said to ensure high resolution, excellent signal-to-noise, and a remarkable black-to-white ratio. Dedicated, screwdriver-adjustable front-panel controls from both the luminance and the chroma channels allow the C2S Plus to be calibrated to achieve even, consistent video performance. The Tributaries C2S Plus can be used for converting composite video from a LaserDisc player, a satellite system or any high-quality composite source. With C2S Plus, all sources are said to yield the very highest quality at S-video level without necessitating multiple connections to A/V receivers at TV sets. The C2S Plus circuitry is encased in a compact sturdy, platinum m vinyl covered aluminum case that measure 1 1/2 inches high, 2 1/2 inches wide and 5 1/4 inches deep. Located on the rear panel is a gold-plated composite-video ""In"" and a heavy-duty gold plated ""S"" connector to assure clean, interference free connections. The C2S Plus is powered by a 16 volt AC transformer. The suggested retail price of the Tributaries C2S Plus is $300. For more information contact Jamie James at 212 517 8399 or 818 508 4902.
