Runco Bows HDTV-Capable Digital Light Processing Projector
An advanced new video projector from Runco International showcases the latest enhancement of Texas Instrumentsí Digital Light Processor technology to yield important gains in video resolution and flexibility. Runco, a U.S. firm that is the accepted leader in high-definition video systems, defines its new VX3 as one of the first DLP-based projectors to incorporate the increased performance of 1024 x 768-pixel resolution in a ""three-chip"" system. The VX3 has provisions for Composite, S-Video, and Component inputs, and has an industry standard RGB connection for high-def or computer graphic signals. Flexible horizontal-scan capability (15-100kHz) and exceptionally high video bandwidth (80MHz) ensure unrestricted quality with even the most demanding of these sources. A powerful 500-watt xenon arc lamp enables the new Runco DLP projector to produce an impressive light output of 2,500 ANSI lumens, and careful design yields the film-standard 6500 Kelvin color-temperature required for accurate cinematic images. No fewer than ten different lens options provide unexcelled installation flexibility, including selections suitable for short-throw/rear-projection setups. A vertical lens shift feature allows for flexibility in vertical placement of the projector relative to the screen.
