M&Kís Professional MPS-2510P Monitoring Loudspeaker System
NAB, Las Vegas, April 19, 1999 - Miller & Kreisel Professional (M&K), at the annual convention of the National Association of Broadcasters in Las Vegas this week, is demonstrating the companyís MPS-2510P monitoring system for medium size control rooms (room volume of approximately 3,500 cubic feet, or a monitoring distance of six to eight feet) used in multichannel music, mastering, broadcast and film sound post production. Based on the critically acclaimed MPS-2510, the MPS-2510P bi-amplified monitor is said to have a wider dynamic range and higher output, plus improved sound quality due to the elimination of signal losses that occur in passive crossover networks. The MPS02510P features a 200-watt amplifier for the low frequency transducers and a 150-watt amplifier for the high frequency transducers. Five of these monitors, along with an M&K Pro MPS-5310 amplified subwoofer, make an ideal 5.1 (20Hz-20kHz) music or home theatre monitoring system for the reference level playback required by Dolby and THXÆ.
