DVD Music Breakthrough, an all-music DVD program, has been released by Delos International. The program offers over 93 minutes of music recorded in Delosí Virtual Reality Recording (VR2) process.The DVD menu alows the listener to choose either of two audio playback modes: 5-channel discrete playback in Dolby Digital or normal stereo playback in Dolby Surround.John Eargle, Delos Director of Recording and Chief Recording Engineer, comments on each music track, identifying for the listener particular characteristics of the recording venues and musical textures. In his introduction, Eargle says:""Delosí investment in the future of home audio was set on its present course about three years ago when we developed VR2 (Virtual Reality Recording), a technique of recording up to four stereo program pairs with the intent of mixing them into discrete surround sound for the consumer.
