Harris Communications Introduces Professional ATSC Broadcast Receiver

Harris Communications introduced a high-end set-top ATSC broadcast receiver at the recent National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention in Las Vegas (April 19-22, 1999). Harris developed the ARX-H100 Professional ATSC Broadcast Receiver to meet the monitoring and analyses requirements of broadcasters transmitting Standard Definition Television (SDTV) or High Definition Television (HDTV). The ARX-H100 allows the user to monitor and verify the digital signal and pinpoint the origination of any problems in the data stream wherever they may occur. The unit provides decoding of al 18 ATSC 8-VSB video formats, including 1080I, 720p, and 480p, as well as MPEG-2 digital signals, and provides simultaneous video outputs in component and RGB formats. This is an excellent ATSC broadcast receiver for applications in high-end home theatres equipped with HDTV-capable projectors.
