""A Bugís Life"" A Big Hit

The Disney/Pixar blockbuster animated hit, ""A Bugís Life"" has grossed $358 million in worldwide boxoffice receipts to become one of the biggest money makers in animated film history. In the announcement by Richard Cook, Chairman of the Walt Disney Motion Picture and Steve Jobs, CEO of Pixar, the film ës domestic gross of $163 million has earned it fourth place as the biggest animated feature released in the United States (behind ""The Lion King,"" ""Aladdin"" and ""Toy Story""). Internationally, ""A Bugís Life"" has grossed to date $195 million and has set records in the United Kingdom, Mexico, Columbia, Thailand and Hong Kong. The film was released on DVD on April 20, and appears as the cover art on Issue 32 of ""Widescreen Review"", which is expected to hit newsstands by the end of May. Disneyís special DVD editions of ""A Bugís Life,"" which offer sets of outtakes from the movie credits and a choice of widescreen or full screen versions, quickly achieved No.1 in DVD sales and rentals. ""ëA Bugís Lifeí has matched the blockbuster success of ëToy Storyí and will soon surpass it in worldwide boxoffice receipts,"" said Jobs. ""The overwhelming success of the film with moviegoers around the world inspires us as we work hard on ëToy Story 2í for release this November.""
