Monster Cable Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-end speaker, audio, video and computer cables and accessories, has announced the release of Monster FireLinkô IEEE 1394 Ultra High Speed Multimedia Connection (JP ELPC HP). Monsterís very latest cable for digital technology is designed for hookup of a digital monitor, DVD-Video player, HDTV and A/V receiver to a MAC or PC. JP FLPC HP offers an ultra-high speed portal into the new digital technology that links audio/video components to computers. Monsterís FireLink, says the company, moves large amounts of data quickly and error-free. FireLink boasts a data transfer rate of 1.6 gigabit per second for the fastest possible data transfer for digital video and multimedia connections. Advanced Monster technologies include impedance-controlled conductors, a unique gas-injected dielectric for expanded frequency response, and quad shielding for maximum EM and rejection of RF interference and superior data transfer. FineLink features Monsterís XLNÆ construction to eliminate ""noise"" between conductors and tightly twisted conductors for ultra-low signal loss. Precision-molded connectors feature self-polishing 24k gold contacts for error-free signal transfer. FireLink IEEE 1394 is offered in the Just Hook It UpÆ line of Monster products. Just Hook It Up packaging is for customers who want to get all of the performance they paid for from their components, with the least amount of hookup confusion. Choosing the right cable to connect products with new digital technology can be daunting, to say the least. Monsterís Just Hook It Up program makes the process of choosing the right cables for every application easy and intuitive. The programís color-coded, easy-to-read packaging clearly spells out which cables connect different components. Users simply identify what theyíre hooking up, such as a digital camcorder to a computer. They look at the Monster hookup diagram and identify the product name and corresponding color on the package. JP FLPC HD comes with three choices of connectors ñ 6-pin-to-6-pin, 4-pin-to-6-pin and 4-pin-to-4-pin and ranges in price from $39.95 to $59.95, according to length. Also available is J2 DCAM for hookup of a digital camcorder to other IEEE 1394 devices like computers, HDTVs and VCRs.
