West Coast Entertainment Teams With Lycos To Market New Website
West Coast Entertainmentís newly renamed Website, Westcoastvideo.com, will be supported by the companyís new Internet partner, Lycos, Inc. Lycos, whose claim is the most visited hub on the Internet, will provide links and ads directing users from the Lycos Entertainment Web Guide and other locations on its network to West Coast Video. In return, Lycos will get exposure in West Coastís brick-and-mortar stores, which will show its TV commercials, distribute promotional items and offer its ""Beginnerís Guide To The Internet"" VHS tape as a free rental. Originally the West Coast Website URL was marketed as Moviebuff.com, but a lawsuit brought against West Coast Entertainment by Brookfield Communications, which claimed to own that domain name, forced the company to switch to the a different Web address.
