Sneak Previews of two Kinopanorama films were held over the recent Memorial Day weekend at this classic landmark cinema in Dayton, Ohio. A ""mute"" (without soundtrack) Eastman Color work-print featuring recently shot footage of the scenic Blue Mountains, assembled by John Steven Lasher for the purpose of testing the camera negatives and film laboratory printing, was screened on Saturday, May 29th, followed on Sunday, 30th May by two reels (roughly 12-minutes) of the 3-projector color restoration tests (7-track 35mm soundtrack) of ""Joyful Racing Corners."" John Harvey and Larry Smith, co-founders of The Cinerama Preservation Society, report that the audience response was unusually positive, with many wanting to know more about the Kinopanorama films. Minor synchronization problems encountered on the latter prints will be corrected in full before the ""official"" public screenings are held over the Labor Day weekend in September. Bruno Lemonnier (co-producer with John Steven Lasher) traveled from France especially for this event. Screening dates are listed on The New Neon Movies Web site at www.newneonmovies.com.
