The U.S. Postal Service To Offer Nimble Delivery Services For DVDs

With an ever expanding demand for online e-commerce of DVDs, the U.S. Postal Modernization Act has provisions to better enable the Postal Service to offer nimble delivery services to keep up with the growing tide of goods ordered online and delivered to the home. Under the Act, which is before the full Government Reform committee of the U.S. Congress, new business lines include everything from e-mail-to-hand copy services that convert e-mail to hand-delivered letters overseas to prepaid phone cards, money transfers and overseas priority-package delivery.Image Entertainment, the nationís largest distributor of DVDs and LaserDiscs, will be using advanced USPS Priority Mail to fulfill online Internet orders through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ken Craneís (www. based in Westminster, California.
