Zenithís New HDTV Widescreen TVs And DVD-Video Players

The new, downsized, streamlined Zenith is a tightly focused sales, marketing, distribution and technology company. No longer manufacturing but sourcing from select suppliers to fill specific market needs, the company is introducing in August a new 64-inch widescreen HDTV set, Model 1QB6410W, at a suggested retail price of $7,999. The rear-screen set features nine-inch CRTs to produce 1920x1080 lines of resolution. A companion 56-ionch widescreen AQB56W10 uses seven-inch CRTs and carries a SRP of $6,495.Other widesceen TV offerings include a 36-inch direct view 1B36C95W multimedia monitor with a 480 progressive scan image and RGB outputs. For home theatre, a CRT direct view 36-inch 1QB36B44W offers a claimed 800 lines of resolution and Invar Shadow Mask.In DVD, Zenith has announced five models - two with the Divx feature, but with a suggested $50, instead of $100, price premium.
