Freddy Krueger To Make His DVD Debut In September

On September 9, 1999, New Line Home Video will release a groundbreaking DVD Box Set featuring all seven movies in the ""Nightmare On Elm Street"" series. ""A Nightmare On Elm Street,"" showcasing horror-villain Freddy Krueger (played by Robert England), will be made available individually and as part of a set. The ""Nightmare"" sequels will only be available in the set. The 8-disc set will retail for $129.98 with the individual ""Nightmare"" titles going for $24.98. The movies featured in the set are: ""A Nightmare On Elm Street"" Starring Heather Langenkamp and Johnny Depp Directed by Wes Craven 1984 Anamorphic Widescreen (1.85:1) and Full Screen Supplemental includes Audio Commentary, Trailer, Original Theatrical Press Kit ""A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddyís Revenge"" Starring Mark Patton and Kim Myers Directed by Jack Sholder 1986 ""A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors"" Starring Patricia Arquette and Larry Fishburne Directed by Chuck Russell 1987 ""A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master"" Starring Rodney Eastman Directed by Renny Harlin 1988 ""A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child"" Starring Lisa Wilcox Directed by Stephen Hopkins 1989 ""Freddyís Dead: The Final Nightmare"" Starring Lisa Zane and Breckin Meyer Directed by Rachel Talalay 1991 Supplemental includes two pairs of 3-D glasses for 3-D sequence in the movie ""Wes Cravenís New Nightmare"" Starring Heather Langenkamp Directed by Wes Craven 1994 Supplemental includes Audio Commentary Additional supplemental features include the Bonus DVD-ROM Disc: ""The Nightmare Series Encyclopedia"" featuring the ultimate source of Freddy Krueger information. The bonus disc also includes interviews with the seven directors of each movie plus additional interviews with other horror film directors, actors and genre fans. Additionally, the disc will contain a Freddy screensaver, trivia game, trailers for each movie, several music videos plus behind-the-scenes footage. The DVD-ROM will also feature a history of the ""Nightmare"" series and a series encyclopedia index. No information has been made available regarding the soundtrack formats of each DVD.
