MGM Announces A DVD Of The Beatlesí ""Yellow Submarine"" With A Boatload Of Extras. ""Four Weddings And A Funeral"" Also Announced.

MGM Home Entertainment has announced a DVD Collectorís Edition of The Beatlesí ""Yellow Submarine."" The 1968 animated classic, not available on any home video format for many years, is scheduled for release on September 14 with a suggested retail price of $29.98. Extra features promised for the disc include a behind-the-scenes featurette, storyboards, original pencil drawings, interviews and a trailer. A newly created Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack will also be featured on the DVD. No word yet on availability in a widescreen format. Filled with plenty of surreal animation, ""Yellow Submarine"" includes many Beatles songs including the title track, ""Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,"" ""All You Need Is Love"" and an instrumental score by the Beatlesí producer George Martin.Also due from MGM Home Entertainment on September 7, will be a DVD of the delightful 1994 hit ""Four Weddings And A Funeral.""
