EchoStar Communications Corporation Nets 105,000 Customers In June 1999DISH Network Continues Record Customer Growth

EchoStar Communication Corporation (Nasdaq: DISH, DISHP) has announced that it added approximately 105,000 net new DISH Networkô total customer base to approximately 2.6 million.This marks the ninth consecutive month DISH Network has achieved customer growth of over 100,000 net additions. For the second quarter of 1999, DISH Network added 332,000 subscribers, an increase of 84 percent over the second quarter of 1998. For the first half of 1999, DISH Network has added 657,000 net subscribers, an increase of 92 percent over the first half of 1998.
