Mark Cuban To Speak At eTV World

Mark Cuban, chairman of broadcast.com, which put Webcasting on the business map, leads this breakthrough conference in New York on the emerging world of enhanced TV and broadband internet convergence. The Broadband Internet TV Conference & Expo is scheduled for September 13-15 in New York City. ""Broadcast.com is producing the first successful example of visual information on demand,"" says founder and Executive Producer Alan Brody, ""and all the upcoming convergence companies need to understand that companyís contribution."" With a line-up of speakers drawn from the Hollyweb Live conference that wowed audiences at the National Association of Broadcastersí NAB í99 and made the front page of Variety, eTV World presents the most comprehensive gathering of companies and personalities defining the broadband convergence world. ""The conference addresses three segments of this exciting marketplace: Content, eTailing/Marketing and Product/Connectivity,"" says co-host and Producer Allison Dollar. ""And weíll also highlight the exhibits area, which, with the eLiving Room showcase, will provide demonstrations showing attendees how convergence will take shape in the real world."" The theme of the conference, ""How BROAD is Broadband,"" emphasizes to Broadcasters, Developers, Advertisers, Ad Agencies and Investors that convergence is more than an incremental step-up in the industry ñ it represents a fundamental shift in the internet and new media industries. ""The fact is, convergence already happening when people use their computers and TVs at the same time,"" says Brody. ""eTV World follows that usage pattern ñ peoplesí multitasking of media - to all its logical conclusions on TV, PCs, appliances, the delivery systems that support it and its implications for content development and business strategies.
