Visitors to the DVD Video Group Web site will be able to search the site to identify their nearest VSDA-member video retailer. VSDA-member video stores carrying DVD video titles will be listed in a database that will contain the store's name, address, phone number, and store hours. The information will be displayed along side a map helping consumers locate the store nearest them. The dealer locator will be usable as of February l, 1999 and is made available by MapQuest's InnerConnect. Effective immediately, VSDA-member retailers throughout the U.S. are invited to fill out a form on the DVD Video Group's web site - http:/www.dvdvideogroup.com - to enter their store(s) into the national database. When web surfers visit the site, they enter their zip code and the site will display the 10 closest retailers to them and draw them a map. (A special password is necessary to set-up a listing on the database. VSDA-retail members can access this password on the VSDA Web Site at http//www.vsda.org).""This DVD Video Group retail database is a great opportunity for VSDA-members to further promote their businesses in their own communities, and should prove especially helpful in reaching potential customers who are new to their communities,"" said VSDA President, Jeffrey P.
