Panasonic, a pioneer in portable DVD players, is pioneering yet another DVD product, this time for the car. Introducing the first in-dash DVD-Video player. It's like having a movie theatre that goes wherever you go. The first mobile DVD-Video Player and its companion Digital Surround Processor can deliver first class pictures and unbelievable sound to your passengers. Of course, Panasonic recommends that the video player should not be installed in an area that's visible to the driver, but then the Panasonic in-dash DVD system also delivers incredible sound. While providing for both Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround movie soundtrack playback, unfortunately this first version does not offer DTS CD playback. System ComponentsA complete Panasonic DVD Mobile Theater consists of the CX-DV1500 mobile DVD player (specifically designed for in-vehicle use), the CY-AC300 Digital Surround Processor, and PanasonicĂs widescreen, high-definition 7-inch diagonal color LCD monitor (CY-VM1500). Each component is sold separately. The DVD player has a built-in MPEG2 Video Decoder, and a full-function joystick remote. The color LCD Monitor has dual video inputs to permit monitoring of a second video source, and video output for series connection of additional monitors. The controller for the Digital Surround Processor has a day/night front panel for easy display viewing regardless of the time of day.
