The DVD Forum will host the fourth U.S. DVD promotion conference on August 29-30, 1999, in Palm Springs, California, at the Rancho Las Palmas Marriott Hotel, with a focus on DVD in the PC industry and the emerging DVD-Audio technology. The premier event by the DVD Forum, which is the originator and the sole creator of the DVD Format, will provide the best opportunity for DVD content providers and DVD manufacturers to learn about the latest advances in the DVD industry and the fast-extending scope of DVD developments. The conference will also be a great opportunity to reestablish old contacts and make new ones within the DVD community.The conference will feature speakers from PC, computer software and music industries to overview and explore the vast frontier the DVD technology is advancing. Industry analysts for both the DVD content and hardware will update the current market status and trends that are driving growth. Round-table discussions among the PC software and hardware companies and DVD hardware makers will also be planned.
