SMPTE Technology Of Movies Conference

A full-day event dealing with the heritage and future of motion picture film and sound practices, preservation, color cinematography, inter-media technologies, and projection/exhibition is scheduled for Saturday, September 25, 1999 at the Warner Bros. Ross Theatre in Burbank, California. The event is billed as ""Screen Shadows: The Technology Of Movies."" Included will be film from the silent era through talkies and into modern picture and sound advances ñ with an emphasis on visual presentation and clips, in Hollywoodís premiere screening facility. The program will be presented by knowledgeable experts, subject to availability and will conclude with a screening of the newly restored ""42nd Street.""
