First Kinopanorama Film ""Joyful Racing Corners"" Restored

Restoration of this popular 1961 sporting comedy [the first color feature Kinopanorama film known as ""Opasniye Povoroty"" is proceeding according to schedule. The next phase will entail the complete transfer of the Kinopanorama nine-channel magnetic film soundtrack. The restoration is being funded under a joint agreement between Fifth Continent Australia P/L and Vision 146 SARL (France). The restored film will be premiered at The New Neon Movies, followed by an international re-release, in about one year from now. The official public premiere of the two reels (12 minutes) of color restoration footage is scheduled for the 4th and 5th of September at ""Americaís Only Cinerama Theatre"" in Dayton, Ohio. In other Kinopanorama news, a pre-release ""work-print"" of ""The Kinopanorama Experience"" is being dispatched to The New Neon Movies for a possible future screening there, possibly as soon as the 4th and/or 5th September) subject to the approval of Messrs. John Harvey and Larry Smith) and/or late November. Two show [release] prints will be available for hire in mid-2000 with a choice of English and French soundtracks. Film Australia Facilities did the editing and Audio Lock Sound Design produced the 35mm 7-track dubbing.
