Two new Internet DVD stores have popped up offering challenges to NetFlix, the reigning champ of online DVD rentals. All three stores offer seven-day rentals, and the costs of tiles plus shipping are comparable. The major advantage offered by XrentDVD.com (Aliso Viejo, California) and DVDovernight.com (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) both of whom are slightly more expensive than NetFlix, is the presence of adult titles on the virtual shelves. DVDovernight carries both mainstream and adult titles, while XrentDVD specializes in adult DVDs and Japanese Video CDs.NetFlix, which does not carry adult movies (but does offer a healthy selection of less-explicit ""mature"" titles from such labels as Playboy Home Video and Simitar), now claims to have more than 3,600 DVD titles in stock. It also spices up its site with original content, like a monthly column featuring rental recommendations from capsule-review guru Leonard Maltin. For more information, contact NetFlix.com at 408 461 8080; XrentDVD.com at 530 688 9851; DVDOvernight.com at 215 483 1128.Source: DVD Report
