Unapix Home Entertainment Partners With DTS to Develop Groundbreaking DVD Program ""What-a-Blast/Architecture In Motion"" To Feature State-Of-The-Art DTS Digital Surround Audio

Unapix Home Entertainment, a division of Unapix Entertainment, Inc. (AMEX: UPX), announced that it has entered into an agreement with Digital Theater Systems (DTS), to develop What a Blast / Architecture in Motion, an innovative DVD program, utilizing DTS Digital Surround technology. ""What a Blast/Architecture In Motion"" is a mind blowing entertainment experience, all done in DTS Digital Surround. This full-length music video production, set to the original Tangerine Dream soundtrack, features devastating implosions of buildings, bridges and smokestacks, and includes a special mix by Robert Margouleff and Brant Biles, one of the premier surround sound design teams in the world. DTS Digital Surround is the premier surround sound format for delivering 5.1 channels of ""master quality"" audio on DVD. This new technology allows consumers to experience 3-dimensional audio surround sound, transforming home theater systems into six discrete channels of exceptionally clear, high-quality, digital audio performance. ""We are extremely excited to be involved with DTS on íWhat a Blast/Architecture In Motion,í a wonderfully entertaining program which we hope will be the first of many produced in association with DTS,"" said Richard Casey, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Unapix Home Entertainment. ""A clip from the production will be featured on the new version of our Ultimate DVD Demo disc, the first version of which we believe is the most widely distributed DVD in the world."" Unapix and DTS have also teamed up in the distribution of this 42-minute program. In addition to promoting ""What A Blast/Architecture In Motion"" on its Web site (www.dtsonline.com), DTS will also focus on audio/video hardware retailers for the promotion and sale of this title. David DelGrosso, Director of Consumer Marketing at DTS commented, ""This title will instantly become a favorite for audio/video retailers to demonstrate the superb value of the DVD format and simultaneously the exceptional sound quality of DTS Digital Surround. We are confident that thousands of consumers will become exposed to this title every day as they walk through the retail showrooms and stop to experience such an exciting demonstration. We very much look forward to co-developing other state-of-the-art titles with Unapix.""
