C-3D Digital Boosts Media And Internet Strategy With BeOS Deal
Company's Strata Software Line to Run on Be-Powered Internet Devices Chequemate International Inc. (AMEX:DDD - news), doing business as C-3D Digital Inc., the world's first 3D television and Internet Media Company, Thursday, August 26 announced that the Company has signed an agreement with Be Inc. (Nasdaq:BEOS - news) to implement C-3D's line of Strata 3D and Digital Video (""DV'') software for the BeOS operating system, which is optimized for the Internet. C-3D and Be engineers are currently working together on a BeOS version of StudioPro, the renowned 3D modeling, rendering, and animation package used worldwide by digital artists and other creative professionals. StudioPro was used to create NBC's latest dancing peacock animation, which premiered in prime time on Sunday, August 22. Strata tools have been used on many well-known projects including the best-selling computer game `""MYST,'' and feature films such as `""Wild Wild West,'' `""The Fifth Element,'' and `""Contact.'' Be and C-3D will soon be offering Strata VideoShop, a highly popular non-linear video editor with DV and 3D functionality.
