Jensen Transformers, Inc. Debuts The ISO- MAXÆ Video Transmitter And Receiver For CAT-5 And Coaxial Cable
Jensen Transformers, Inc., a recognized manufacturer of high performance audio and video isolators and transformers, announces the introduction of the high performance ISO-MAX VB-1BT transmitter and companion VB-1TB receiver for CAT-5 or coaxial cable. The new transmitter and receiver deliver broadcast-quality color video over up to 1,500 feet of CAT-5 twisted pair cable, or up to two miles of coaxial cable. The new ISO-MAX transmitter and receiver were developed for video distribution applications in commercial and residential settings. As residential and commercial locations are increasingly ""future-proofed"" with CAT-5 twisted cable, Jensen Transformers President Bill Whitlock hopes that the new transmitter and receiver will find a wide audience. Says Whitlock, ""With technology quickly emerging that will allow CAT-5 coaxial cable to carry video, audio, computer data and similar ancillary information, the ISO-MAX transmitter and receiver will provide a new standard for internally wiring residences, government facilities, schools and similar locations for these applications."" The pair overcomes the inherent problems of passive baluns, loss of contrast and detail, hum bars from ground loops, crosstalk into audio pairs, and poor impedance matching. The new ISO-MAX transmitterís symmetry assures ultra-low crosstalk in adjacent audio pairs. The receiver unit uses optical coupling for extremely high ground loop immunity. Features include separate LF (in the receiver) and HF (in the transmitter) gain controls for adjustment to various cable lengths. Additionally, the transmitter features a loop-through BNC input, while the receiver offers two BNC outputs to maximize flexibility in system configuration. Each unit is powered by either 12 to 26 VDC, or 9 to 18 VAC power sources.
