Jensen Transformers, Inc. Introduces ISO- MAXÆ Audio/Video Isolator Kit At 1999 CEDIA Expo
Jensen Transformers, Inc., a recognized manufacturer of high performance audio and video isolators and transformers, adds another innovative product to its arsenal with the introduction of the ISO-MAX Audio/Video Isolator Kit, at the 1999 CEDIA Expo, September 22-26 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The kit combines three of Jensen's most popular and widely used isolator boxes in a rugged and portable carry case. Included in the kit are one 2-channel ISO-MAX CI-2RR audio isolator, one ISO-MAX VB-1BB composite video isolator and one ISO-MAX VR-1FF CATV isolator. Also included are a pair of BNC to RCA adapters, a pair of TA-R1 diagnostic test adapters and a timesaving system troubleshooting guide. Jensen Transformers has been a major force in developing isolators that eliminate hum and buzz in audio and video systems for over two decades. The isolators work by passing signals while simultaneously breaking the electrical connections between input and output. The company has aimed the kit primarily at those who install and service audio and video systems. The rugged case is designed for portability and, as isolators are used, facilitates ordering replacements. Bill Whitlock, President of Jensen Transformers, Inc., explains that the 2-channel ISO-MAX CI-2RR audio isolator holds advantages over competing isolators, ""Ground isolators or so-called åfloating ground adaptersx may kill some of the noise, but they almost always kill the low bass and add lots of distortion, too."" He also notes that the ISO-MAX isolator delivers bass response extending several octaves below similar units and distortion is 10 to 100 times lower as well. The ISO-MAX VB-1BB video isolator eliminates ""hum bars"" in video signals and other problems caused by ground loops. The isolator delivers very high ground isolation of 120 dB CMRR typical at 60 Hz and a wide -3dB bandwidth of 10 Hz to 10 MHz. The ISO-MAX VR-1FF CATV ground isolator eliminates system hum problems associated with CATV or antenna connections. The isolator eliminates 60 Hz ground currents and its 50 MHz to 900 MHz bandwidth spans the complete VHF/FM/UHF/CATV spectrum. Jensen Transformers believes that when high-end professional audio and/or video systems require ground isolators, they should be of the highest quality available. By packaging a selection of isolators for both audio and video in a rugged portable case, the company hopes that installers and service technicians will save time and prevent call-backs on every installation.
