Denon Introduces New High-Performance, High-Value Home Theatre Receivers
Denon Electronics, a world leader in digital audio and home theatre technology, announced the introduction of its new AVR-2800 and AVR-1800 Dolby digital and DTS audio/video receivers, two new high-performance home theatre components that are replacing the popular AVR-2700 and AVR-1700 models respectively, at no increase in price. The new receivers add DTS capability, increased power output and additional advanced features for significantly enhanced performance and flexibility. The Denon AVR-2800: Powerful Surround Sound Performance The AVR-2800 is first and foremost designed for exceptional surround sound quality, and features Denonís Equal Power Discrete Power Amplifier topology to provide 85 watts of high current power to each of its five main channels, for effortless, dynamic reproduction of movie soundtracks at realistic volume levels. The AVR-2800 utilized leading edge Analog Devices AD-1855 24-bit/96kHz DACS on all channels for unexcelled clarity and resolution of low-level sonic detail. These premium digital processors operate in conjunction with Denonís DDSC-Digital Discreet Surround Circuit, a Denon developed DSP circuit that uses advanced Full Block Floating Point calculations ñ highly sophisticated method of dynamically allocating processing power for optimum surround sound decoding performance. The AVR-2800ís DDSC-Digital circuit features two advanced-design DSP chips (Crystal Semiconductor and Zoran), one dedicated exclusively to surround sound processing and the other utilized for bass management and other DSP simulation functions.
