Crestronís CNX-PAD8 Expands The Boundaries Of Room Control

Capable of controlling the selection of volume and distribution of up to eight individual audio sources, the new CNX-PAD8 Professional Audio Distribution Processor from Crestron allows system integrators to step outside the confines of predetermined functionality to design and build room systems with open-ended levels of control. Compatible with Crestronís SmarTouch STS or CNMSX-PRO systems, as well as any Crestron touchpanel or pushbutton control panel, the CNX-PAD8 can be programmed to select any available audio source, preamplify its signal, and then distribute it to up to eight room amplifiers, each of which can be chosen according to its application. Preamp controls available within the rack-mountable unit volume (minimum/maximum), bass, treble, and balance. To insure that all sources are distributed at equal levels, compensating gain adjustments are offered at the inputs. Programming is an easy task thanks to Crestronís SIMPL (Symbol Intensive Master Programming Language) software for Windows. Source and numeric keypad wall control panels are utilized to access the power of the CNX-PAD8 from within individual room environments. Outfitted with 12 buttons, both DÈcor-style units employ a single-gang configuration. Label kits are included with either panel style. With a suggested retail price of $1,350, the CNX-PAD8 is ideally suited for use with new or existing systems. For expanding the number of CNX-PAD8 outputs within any system, an optional bussing kit (model CNX-ASBK) is offered which allows up to three units to be daisy-chained together, providing a total of 32 outputs.
