Kodak Introduces A Film That Has Color Abuzz
Kodak has introduced a new color reversal motion picture film designed to provide cinematographers with another powerful tool for creating unusual and vibrant looks. Kodak Ektachrome 100D Color Reversal Motion Picture Film/5285 generates intense saturated color with exceptional sharpness at a 100 speed, while maintaining accurate neutral and flesh tones. The new film is now available in 35mm format on standard 1000 and 400foot reels. ""If youíre looking for something different, this is it,"" says Joseph Nardone, Marketing Manager, Commercials Market for Kodakís Professional Motion Imaging division. ""Ektachrome 100D film delivers incredible, super-saturated color right out of the camera. Cinematographers who have tested it so far are loving it for the high-contrast, ëgutsy lookí theyíre getting."" The new film is optimized for an exposure index of 100 in daylight (5500 degrees Kelvin) or 25 in tungsten (3200 degrees Kelvin) light with a Kodak Wratten No. 80A color correction filter on the camera lens. Ektachrome 100D film can be processed with standard Kodak E-6 processing, cross processing, or other custom lab processes. ""This is a whole new Ektachrome film.
