Universal Remote Control To Introduce New Products At CES 2000

Universal Remote Control, Inc. will be introducing at CES 2000 (Booth 8955) the following: 1. The Home Theater Master MX-1000 ($290) is a 12-component universal remote with PC interface. It can create macros to tie numerous functions together and can be customized with favorite channel pages. The unit has an extensive built in database of IR codes covering a vast array of audio/video components and has been ergonomically designed for one-hand operation of the frequently used functions. 2. The updated Home Theater Master SL-9000 ($129) ,a learning/pre-programmed universal remote control ($129), has added a JOIN mode, as well as enabled the Device buttons to have the ability to emit up to three commands with each press of the button, and now offered the option of selectively activating or deactivating the Automatic Audio mode. The SL-9000 has three convenient programming methods: (a) learning on 376 buttons, (b) a pre-programmed database covering over 1,000 TVs and projectors, VCRs, Cable, DVD, audio receivers, satellite receivers, CD/laser, home automation and lighting equipment, (c) a combined learned and preprogrammed set-up for fast and customizable operation. Macro sequencing, backlighting, and battery back-up are some of the other features.
