SatCom Electronicsô Debuts SatCom Passportô Mini Plus, Portable Flat-Antenna System That Allows DBS-TV From Anywhere
SatCom Electronicsô, Inc. of San Diego, California, introduces the SatCom PASSPort ôMini Plus, a one-piece flat-panel satellite antenna system with integrated LNB (Low Noise Block) for Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) ñTV applications. The portable SatCom PASSPort Mini Plus package includes the compact (12-inch x16-inch) SatCom PASSPort Mini Plus antenna, the Digital Satellite Seeker, and all necessary components for connections and mounting. The SatCom PASSPort Mini Plus antenna is a low profile, flat-panel design and lightweight unit (5 Ibs.) that is designed for portability. The antenna requires no assembly; users simply plug, aim, play, and enjoy satellite TV programming anywhere. Satellite signal reception is accomplished through the SatCom PASSPortís advanced phased array antenna technology, in which small, radiating elements work together in phase to form a peak energy beam aimed at a satellite signal. Users simply observe a LCD display that measures satellite signal strength (the highest numerical reading corresponds to the strongest satellite signal) to achieve the optimum antenna-to-satellite alignment.
