FOCUS And Apple Ship New iTView-DV
FOCUS Enhancements has begun shipping the iTView-DV to Apple Computer. In October 1999, the company announced that it developed a custom PC-to-TV video converter for the recently released Apple Computer iMac DV. FOCUS Enhancements and Apple Computer have entered into an agreement that will allow Apple Computer to market and sell the iTView-DV via The Apple Store and through Apple Education Sales Agents (AESAs). FOCUS Enhancements will make the new iTView-DV available through their own network of resellers and VARs globally. Affordably priced at the suggested list price of $139, the iTView-DV turns any television into a large-screen computer display. Instead of two or three students hovering around one computer monitor, the entire class can share in the learning experience on a large TV screen. It offers users a reliable means of displaying presentations, games, and multimedia on any TV, providing an interactive learning environment. The iTView-DV is also ideal for displaying movies generated in iMovie software to television as well as enjoying DVD movies on any size TV. Students now have the ability to record their class work and bring it with them for home viewing. The iTView-DV is also well-suited for graphic designers, presenters, and trainers to display images in business meetings, large training environments, and in-home entertainment settings.
