Giant-screen home theatre projection television systems took center stage in Zenith Electronics Corporationís booth at the 2000 International Consumer Electronics Show, as the company took the wraps off of a new 60-inch high-definition LCD (liquid crystal display) rear-projection model and a portable DLP (digital light processing) front-projector. In addition to accepting a wide range of analog and digital television signals, this model doubles as a computer display for VGA, SVGA and XGA graphics. The lightweight (10-pound) DLP projector sports video, audio and computer inputs, delivers 800 ANSI Lumens of light output with native SGVA resolution and compressed XGA resolution. The Pro1200X, designed to project crystal-clear video images from 4.6 to 20 feet in diameter, the Pro1200X is ideally suited for a wide range of home theater applications as well as data display.
